Big E’s 2013 Final MLB Power Rankings

I know this is coming very late almost three weeks since the baseball season/World Series ended but I still needed to finish what I started because the last MLB Power Ranking was August just doesn’t make sense that’s the last one. And I wanted to wait until the all the MLB Awards were announced congrats to the winners!

Congrats to the Boston Red Sox again winning their third World Series title in ten years. It was a great moment for the city of Boston well deserved!

MLB Monthly Rankings: Records for September/October: Month Record, [Final Season Record] AR (August Ranking):

1. Boston Red Sox: 16-9, [97-65] AR: (3) World Series Champions; Beat the Cardinals in World Series!

2. St. Louis Cardinals: 19-8, [97-65] AR: (T.8) NL Champions

3. Detroit Tigers: 13-13, [93-69 AR: (4) Lost to the Red Sox in the AL Championship; won the AL central!

4. Los Angeles Dodgers: 12-15, [92-70] AR: (1) Lost to the Cardinals in the NL Championship; won the weak NL West!

5. Oakland Athletics: 19-10, [96-66] AR: (6) Won the AL West for second straight season!

6. Atlanta Braves: 13-14, [96-66] AR: (2) Won the NL East!

30. Houston Astros: 7-20, [51-111] AR: (30) Lost over 105 games for the third straight season.

Final 2013 Season Trend:

Biggest Winner(s): San Francisco Giants & San Diego Padres (+7).

Biggest Loser: Texas Rangers (-6).
